colibrí

The colibrí (Spanish, hummingbird, pronounced koh-lee-BREE) appears in the traditional stories of the indigenous peoples of both North and Central America. A popular native bird of the Rio Grande Valley, it was chosen to represent this organization because of its dazzling beauty, great energy, and tenacious courage despite its small size.
