colibrí children’s choir meets Sunday afternoons from September through May. The first rehearsal will be September 10. 

• Training choir (grades 1-6) 2:00 PM – 3:20 PM
• Concert choir (grades 6-12) 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Regular and prompt attendance at all classes and rehearsals is required for our success. If a choir member will miss a rehearsal because of illness or scheduled activities or trips, please notify the director as soon as possible. Dress rehearsals (the last rehearsal before a concert) is strictly mandatory.

The following days will have no rehearsal:

• December 10, 2023 – Concert and Alumni choirs will be singing in The Nutcracker at MPAC.
• December 24, 2023 – January 7, 2023 – Winter Break (Rehearsals resume January 14, 2024.)
• March 31, 2024 – Easter Sunday
• May 12, 2024 – Mother’s Day

• Training Choir: Saturday, December 9, 2023, 9:00 AM to Noon – Farmers Market at McAllen Fireman’s Park; International Festival at St. George Orthodox Church, Pharr
• Concert and Alumni Choirs: Saturday and Sunday, December 9-10, 2023, 3:00 PM – The Nutcracker with Rio Grande Valley Ballet at McAllen Performing Arts Center
• All Choirs: Friday, December 15, 2023, 7:30 PM  –  Holiday Concert with McAllen Wind Ensemble at McAllen Performing Arts Center
• Training and Concert Choirs: Monday, December 18, 2023, 7:00 PM – Formal Winter concert at McAllen Creative Incubator
• All Choirs: Saturday, February 24, 2024, afternoon – South Texas Irish Fest 2024 (Time TBA)
• Training and Concert Choirs: Monday, May 20, 2024, 7:00 PM – Formal Spring concert at McAllen Creative Incubator

Additional performances may be scheduled subject to singers’ availability and rehearsal schedule may be affected.
